Partnership
Regeneration proposals, based on a detailed analysis of
social and economic factors affecting neighbourhood decline, and the role
of local interest groups, social agencies and the private sector. Working
as part of a multi-disciplinary team lead by Architype
Ltd.

Study of the objectives, practices and effects of the lettings
policies, leading to a review of alternative approaches. Subsequent
development and promotion, through internal and external consultation,
of proposals for adopting a choice based system that would align more
closely with corporate strategic objectives.

Client: Weston-super-Mare
SRB Partnership
Development of proposals for reversing the economic decline
of the centre of this seaside town, from the perspective of the role of
housing provision. The
work involved a detailed analysis of population and household profiles,
matched to stock types and condition. It
reviewed the links between declining family holiday visitors, planning
policy, and the rise of care, support, and drug rehabilitation schemes.
The resulting proposals covered a costed
five year plan for housing regeneration, and re-alignment of policies
and practices to reflect corporate strategic objectives. Lead a multi-disciplinary
team including the Ark Consultancy.

Client: Bristol
City Council, acting for the St Paul’s Partnership
Regeneration study, based on a detailed analysis of social
and economic factors affecting neighbourhood decline, and the effect of
uncoordinated actions and programmes by social agencies. This
project included examining the links between, drugs, crime and prostitution,
and community safety, health, educational achievement and economic development.
It developed
a financial model of legal cash flows through the neighbourhood, and examined
the role of local interest groups, social agencies and the private sector.
Lead a
multi-disciplinary team including Housing Solutions Ltd.
